Since I attend university and live at school, i dont get to drive my van or work on it on a regular basis, so whenever i go home i take full advantage of it. First off, in my last post a while back, i said how i installed a new alternator, and this fixed my rough idle issue.
Second, i am almost finished with my new plenum cover. I first started by sanding it all the way down, i got rid of the rough texture and the nissan letters. next, i sprayed some high temp ceramic primer (3 coats) then applied some ceramic chrome paint, just 2 coats, then i bought some sticker letters and placed them on the cover. Then i painted it the ceramic blue i painted my timing belt covers and other things. Let it dry, then removed the letters very carefully with an exacto knife. and here is the finished product.

I also cant decide whether or not to put a clear coat on it, it would make it look nice, but i dont want it turning yellow on me over time. So, if you know of any good clear paints let me know, like a high temp may do well. Finally, all i really have left to do is make my engine bay look a little bit nicer, hiding some wires, rearranging some components. And for all those in the northwest area, come down to Golden Gardens to see it on March 30th.
